Video: Career Advice for College Students

business degree?If you don’t study business in college can you still have a successful business career if you change direction after you graduate?

DiversityInc recently spoke to Patti Lee, chief diversity officer and senior vice president, human resources, for Wyndham Worldwide, No. 27 on the DiversityInc Top 50 list, who offered her insights in the video below.

Even though Lee got an undergraduate degree in the classics and archaeology, she ended up with a top job at one of the biggest global lodging companies.

For example, she explained, “If you are a liberal arts graduate, or communications graduate,” you can still end up moving to a business job down the line. “It’s all about seeking out opportunities and putting your heart and your soul and you passion in to it.”
